Speaker Bio:
Dr. Ricky Turgeon received his BSc(Pharm) in 2012 from the Dalhousie University College of Pharmacy, his ACPR from the Lower Mainland Pharmacy Services Residency Program in 2013, and his PharmD in the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences at UBC in 2015. He then completed a two-year post-doctoral fellowship with Drs. Glen Pearson and Sheri Koshman at the University of Alberta Faculty of Medicine & Dentistry (Division of Cardiology) in 2018. Currently, he is a Clinical Pharmacy Specialist in the PHARM-HF clinic at St. Paul’s Hospital and Assistant Professor at the UBC Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences. Ricky’s research focuses on evaluating and optimizing cardiovascular pharmacotherapy, and integration of shared decision-making in clinical practice. He is the creator of www.nerdcat.org, a website that provides critical appraisal tools for clinicians, as well as summaries of key cardiovascular trials.
The event is free to CSHP Members! Non-members can transfer the registration fee ($20 for non-member pharmacists and $10 for non-member registered technicians) to heather.slaney@easternhealth.ca
